More details and the small print

The New Year House Party is a great holiday based on sound Christian values using the excellent facilities of Haberdashers’ School, Monmouth, a well appointed boarding school with huge sports hall, lots of grounds, brilliant indoor swimming pool, the friendly Old Hall for meeting up and eating, comfortable lounges, nice bedrooms and all round excellent facilities. An amazing time for meeting new people, for great fun and for worship in all its richness. The new year’s eve party is themed around cowboys and westerns – so bring your costume!

Days on the House Party are structured to make the most of the precious time! Optional early morning swims and prayer meetings for early risers happen before breakfast. Then it’s plenty of activities during the day and on into the evening, including the odd trip off-site and the quirkily named noggles (like a kind of discussion?). The evenings always centre around a time of worship and an engaging and inspirational talk from an experienced speaker. Each House Party has a theme (eg Super heroes) which inspires the fancy dress for new year’s eve and other aspects of the house party.

Young people sleep in rooms with two to five young people of similar age, with a “dormitory leader” of student-ish age to look after them. Mealtime is always great fun, with everyone coming together for high quality food cooked on site by experienced leaders.
